What Is This??
Low Rent Zapruder is a multimedia outlet / arts project led by Anthony Akapnitis operating at the intersection of experimental media, DIY ethos, and immersive storytelling. The project spans short-form video, independent film, original music, visual albums, and live performance—each piece built with intention, and unpredictability.

Currently in production is Low Rent’s first Full- length release: Hungry Roofer, a visual album told in eight chapters.
It follows the unraveling of a modern family, exploring themes of identity, obligation, survival, and the quiet dread that emerges when dreams are deferred and roles become cages. The work blends narrative, abstraction, and sonic experimentation to create a layered emotional experience.
Also coming in early 2026 is the project’s debut Multi Media Arts Gallery “Look! It’s Possible!” an immersive, interactive installation featuring rotating arrangements of visual art, practiced and improvised Music, and collaborative chaos.
